The Bull Mountain Drifters
Would like to personally extend to you
, this invitation to attend our second Montana State Championship, for the new American Cowboy Quick Draw Association.A shooter friendly feature of the ACQDA is that you don’t have to be a member to shoot in a championship match. Of course memberships are available and have some nice benefits like a Life Member buckle but it is your choice.
Many of you are familiar with our location at Bulltown, but you may not be aware of this new game. The entry fees are kept low, the payout is standard for all ACQDA events and based on the number of shooters for placement payout. This event is not about big cash awards, and fancy prizes, its rules are simple, your main reward is the fun you will have attending this event and the bragging rights you may get from the win, you also shoot the entire event, no early outs, you paid to compete and you do not get better by sitting on the sidelines.
If big money, lots of rules, lots of different categories, fancy prizes and gut shooting is your game, this event will not be for you. In the ACQDA you shoot till you hit, after all this is a gunfight, never saw anything about the old west with two guys in the street and they both miss asking each other if they want to holster up and try it again!!
No ammo problems either, as you will provide your own wax over shotgun primers for the match, shoot what you are used to and what works in your gun. You will be shooting life size 6’ tall gunmen at 18 to 21 feet, the light will be 50" high so you will still have the same point of reference that you are used to. For more information about the sport go to:
www.acqda.orgEntry fee for this event will be set at $40 for the Men’s and Women’s main events.
The fee to also shoot the Outlaw class as a side match will be $10. This is a just plain fun match. With a very few criteria if it will safely shoot wax over primers it is good to go. Shotguns and rifles should have hammers but other than that….
A Model 97 Winchester against Derringer, why not?
For the younger set we will hold a special match for them if there are enough shooters. Fee for the Youth that want to shoot will be $10. Having seen some of the youth shoot we know that there are some who can shoot as well as any of the adults. They will have a choice; they can either enter the Main Match or the Youth Match but not both.
On Friday afternoon we will offer the fun Showdown Jackpot shoot. The fee for this will be $20 and this time there will be Men’s showdown and Ladies’ showdown, we have new brighter lights and they should really work well now.
Concessions will be available and a list and prices are with this invitation, as you know the economy is in poor shape and Roundup has its share of problems as well. Our sponsorship is down so to promote more business for the town, instead of offering an evening meal at Bulltown we have arranged for the Busy Bee to offer you all a discount for your evening meals they also serve beer and wine. Of course there is still free camping on the grounds at Bulltown and we offer three cabins for rent by donation to the Krueger’s.
We are asking for a pre-registration for the shoot no later than May 15th of 2011, if any of you that are planning to attend could let us know ahead with a call or email to:

oneshot@midrivers.comThis would be of a great help to us in the planning of this event.
There will also be a South Dakota State Championship American Cowboy Quick Draw shoot
Wyoming State Championship, Wisconsin State Championship
World ACQDA Championship will be September and will be hosted by the Bull Mountain Drifters.
All contestants entering this contest will receive a raffle ticket to put in on the prize of their choice, more tickets will be available as a fund raiser to the club, keeping the entry fees very low ends up paying almost all of the entry money back to the contestants for awards, this program is not a cash cow for clubs, it is about fun, safety , and good friends.
A signup sheet, menu sheet, and information on rooms and sponsors are also included with this invitation. Hope to see some of you for a fun and entertaining event.
Anyone interested in purchasing the official ACQDA targets, need to contact Don or Dave at 406-323-1268. As the targets are full size, it is best to pick them up, you must have your order placed several weeks prior to the shoot date so the targets will be ready for you.
